Spacey Does a Mean Hepburn

Last night when I came home from work, I ended up visiting Empire Magazine’s website and their 14 Great Movie Star Impressions special. Some of it is good, some less than brilliant. But what made me laugh out loud was the clip of Kevin Spacey doing several hilarious impersonations on Inside the Actors Studio. It’s six minutes of encounters with Christopher Walken, Jimmy Stewart, Johnny Carson, Marlon Brando, Jack Lemmon, Clint Eastwood… and of course an outrageous take on Katharine Hepburn. It cannot be said often enough. Spacey is one of our most talented movie stars, intelligent, hard-working and immensely talented. Too bad though that we rarely see him in truly challenging roles on-screen.
