Arnie's Career of Guilty Pleasures
There’s been a lot of Arnold Schwarzenegger for me today. The latest trailer for The Expendables, Sylvester Stallone’s excuse to gather as many action stars as possible, premiered today, showing what I believe is for the first time moving footage of Arnie and Bruce Willis together in the film. The trailer is a hoot, explosive and funny; there is no idea of knowing if the film as a whole will work, but it is one of the year’s musts. Count on it as a guilty pleasure.
Today, I also came across a link to a YouTube clip that was originally posted on Pajiba.com. It is an ironic celebration of Arnold as a movie star, featuring 160 of his most memorable lines and moments from his films (as well as a few off-screen, including one where he pronounces “Avatar” as “Avadar”). A very nicely arranged collage – and hilarious.
