Don Draper Says No, But Everyone Else Says Yes

After all this anticipation, Conan O’Brien finally made his grand comeback last night. The clip above shows the opening from the first Conan on TBS, a hilarious recount of what happened on “last season of Conan“. That includes getting killed Sonny Corleone-style at a tollbooth, being rejected by Don Draper (“It’s 1965. You’re two years old”) and rescued by an angelic Larry King. Time TV critic James Poniewozik points out two things in two separate entries: Conan had a chance at creating whatever he felt like and what he chose is still The Tonight Show and Conan absolutely killed at capturing the 18-49 demo.

Well, seems like Conan is able to turn the disastrous Tonight Show experience into something that might even make his career greater – and Leno and Letterman had better watch out considering the demographics news. The way I see it, Conan’s main competitors might fade away and he’ll be left to battle it out with Jon Stewart and Stephen Colbert on Comedy Central.
