This school rocks like no other!

Gabriella (Vanessa Anne Hudgens) moves to a new school in Albuquerque, New Mexico where she falls in love with a basketball captain, Troy (Zac Efron); singing is the talent that brings them together. This surprise hit for the Disney Channel was loved by preteen girls everywhere (and so was Mr. Efron in particular). Unrealistically pretty teenagers in a silly story where they fight for their right to perform in the school musical even though parents and classmates object, but there’s plenty of enthusiasm, and it goes out with a bang (sort of).
