Definitely, Maybe
Three relationships. Three disasters. One last chance.
In the middle of a divorce, Will (Ryan Reynolds) tells his daughter (Abigail Breslin) the story of how he met three women and which one of them would become her mother. A romantic film that thinks it hits every right button, but it rarely does. Definitely bland, maybe charming – to less discriminating audience members. The story is overlong and Breslin’s character never becomes more than just another Hollywood kid. Even the part where Reynolds works for Bill Clinton’s first presidential campaign is annoyingly unsatisfactory.
2008-U.S. 110 min. Color. Widescreen. Directed by Adam Brooks. Cast: Ryan Reynolds (Will Hayes), Abigail Breslin (Maya Hayes), Isla Fisher (April), Elizabeth Banks, Rachel Weisz, Kevin Kline.
