The Mist
Fear changes everything.
When a small town in Maine is enshrouded in a mysterious mist, a group of people are trapped in a grocery store soon to be attacked by deadly creatures. Frank Darabont has a history of making good Stephen King adaptations and he’s not really to blame for this film’s shortcomings. He’s chosen a great, diverse cast with Marcia Gay Harden the standout as a fanatic who sees the mist as an excuse to start a cult. The tagline sums up the interesting theme, but too much here is ordinary and reminiscent of better horror stories.
