The Contract

Every killer meets his equal.

Ray (John Cusack) and his son (Jamie Anderson) are hiking in the woods when they encounter a dying FBI agent and his prisoner, a veteran assassin (Morgan Freeman); other killers are after them. A disappointing thriller from a once Oscar-nominated director that didn’t manage to secure a release to theaters. Two movie stars headline it, but everything else is typical for a direct-to-DVD production, including the senseless and unimaginative script; all the characters are cardboard.
