The Ruins
Terror has evolved.
Six twenty-something tourists head into the Mexican jungle to find Mayan ruins, little dreaming that the site harbors an ancient, deadly secret. The story may be based on a popular bestseller, but the movie looks like all the other current horror flicks that are generous with blood but cheap when it comes to imagination. The cast is pretty good; you do care a little bit about what happens to these kids. However, the potential of the concept is not thoroughly explored and the conclusion is not very satisfying.
