The resistance against the alien visitors grows stronger but the group needs a breakthrough; meanwhile, Robin’s (Blair Tefkin) affair with an alien officer has startling effects. The sequel to V (1983) was abandoned by the original writer, Kenneth Johnson, but this miniseries has its exciting ingredients. Diana’s intrigues are amusing, the cast is engaging (with Michael Ironside a hard-boiled addition to it) and the battles between the visitors and the humans look very good. However, the subplot involving Robin’s pregnancy is little more than an interesting idea; the alien puppet featured in the birth scene is ridiculous.
