Max Payne

Cop Max Payne’s (Mark Wahlberg) life is a never-ending nightmare ever since his wife and child were brutally slain, but a series of recent murders might lead him to the person who ruined his life. An grim, chilly adaptation of the popular video game, a third-person shooter game… and that’s basically what Wahlberg spends the movie doing. He can do this character in his sleep and the movie is technically adequate and reasonably engaging. Still, few people will feel genuinely excited about it and Mila Kunis is never believable as the vengeful Mona Sax.
