Cliffhanger
Hang on!
$100 million of federal money is stolen in mid-air but the criminals crash-land in the Rockies and the cash (stacked into three cases) is lost; two climbers are forced to help locate them at gunpoint. Director Renny Harlin initially didn’t feel like making another Die Hard 2, but that’s basically what he’s done here – and it turns out to be one of Sly Stallone’s best action movies. Good stunt work in the Dolomites (supposed to look like the Rockies), thrilling, brutal action sequences and a scenery-chewing, utterly evil performance by John Lithgow will make you forget about illogical aspects of the script and a few scenes that are a bit too silly to be believed.
