Even best friends can’t share the same wedding day.
After a mix-up at the wedding planner’s office, the weddings of best friends Liv Lerner and Emma Allen (Kate Hudson, Anne Hathaway) will happen the same day at the same place… unless one of them budges. The most embarrassing stunts are avoided, but this comedy falls flat nevertheless. Hudson and Hathaway are too likable for us to believe that a wedding would make them behave in this idiotic way. The movie never grows out of its childish set-up; the final scene only underlines that fact.
