Adventure and imagination will meet at the final frontier.
A banished Vulcan sets up a phony hostage situation; his real objective is to hijack a ship like the Enterprise and take it to the final frontier. Scripts in the previous films came close to dealing with religion, but that theme is fully explored here. The message is clear; always be curious but don’t forget to tread carefully. Chapter five features plenty of humorous banter between members of our favorite Star Trek crew, but too many slow sequences dominate and the comedy routines don’t always work.
