The Librarian: Return to King Solomon's Mines
New continent. New adventure. Still no clue.
When a scroll that shows the way to the legendary King Solomon’s mines is stolen out of Flynn Carsen’s (Noah Wyle) hands, he goes to Casablanca to retrieve not only the scroll but a key to it. The second film in this franchise lies, if possible, even closer to the Indiana Jones movies with a biblical climax that looks like it was stolen from Raiders of the Lost Ark (1981). Much is familiar from the first chapter, although Gabrielle Anwar replaces Sonya Walger as the love interest. Kids will enjoy this outing, even though the identity of the villain comes as no surprise. Wyle and Bob Newhart are fun together.
2006-U.S. Made for TV. 92 min. Color. Directed by Jonathan Frakes. Cast: Noah Wyle (Flynn Carsen), Gabrielle Anwar (Emily Davenport), Bob Newhart (Judson), Jane Curtin, Olympia Dukakis, Robert Foxworth.
Trivia: Followed by The Librarian: The Curse of the Judas Chalice (2008).
