The 300 Spartans

When the King of Persia declares war on the city-states of Greece, the Spartan King Leonidas (Richard Egan) assumes leadership of the Greek forces. The movie that made Frank Miller so excited as a kid that he would go on to create “300”, an acclaimed graphic novel, actually has little of interest. The story is fraught with strong emotions, but the treatment is thouroughly wooden and clichéd, with poor acting (except from Ralph Richardson). Greek locations are a plus.
