Old Dogs
Sit. Stay. Play dad.
Best friends and business partners Charlie and Dan (John Travolta, Robin Williams) are about to close the biggest deal of their lives when they’re suddenly saddled with… kids. The director behind Wild Hogs (2007) strikes with another comedy about male friendship and offers a slightly odd couple in the leads. Too bad that it has a script that treats its audience like three-year-olds, offering jokes that are farfetched, unfunny and slapsticky in the worst way. Utterly uninspired fare.
2009-U.S. 88 min. Color. Directed by Walt Becker. Cast: John Travolta (Charlie Reed), Robin Williams (Dan Rayburn), Kelly Preston (Vicki Greer), Seth Green, Conner Rayburn, Ella Bleu Travolta… Matt Dillon, Bernie Mac, Ann-Margret, Rita Wilson, Amy Sedaris.
Trivia: Mac’s final film. Ella Bleu Travolta is John’s daughter.
