Diamonds Are Forever
James Bond (Sean Connery) goes undercover as a diamond smuggler to locate a large amount of stolen gems; it turns out that Blofeld (Charles Gray) is once again responsible. The seventh Bond flick saw Mr. Connery make a comeback; he’s still got it, but his heart doesn’t really seem to be in it. A large chunk of the story takes place in Las Vegas; the action packs a certain punch, not least during the finale on an oil rig, but the story is nothing special. On the other hand, we do get to see Blofeld in drag and there’s a couple of gay hitmen. A bizarre chapter of the Bond saga indeed.

Trivia: Mr. Connery’s final film as Bond (except for Never Say Never Again (1983)). Jane Fonda, Faye Dunaway and Raquel Welch were allegedly considered for the part of Tiffany. Followed by Live and Let Die (1973).
