Hair

Oklahoma kid Claude Bukowski (John Savage) arrives in New York on his way to the Vietnam War and makes friends with hippies in Central Park. At the time of this undeniably silly film’s release the glory days of the hippie movement were long gone, and many critics were right in pointing out that aspects of the story feel outdated. My main problem with the movie is that the characters are not quite believable. But a lot of the songs are very groovy classics, the cinematography has an autumnal beauty and the message of peace, love and understanding is always attractive.
