Get A Little Savage.
Another U.S. remake of a French film, this time Little Indian, Big City (1994). The story is the same; a businessman (Allen) goes to the Amazon and finds out that he has a 13-year-old son whom he brings back to New York. There are no surprises here of course and the subplot concerning coffee and the Russian mafia is not very interesting. But Allen is right as the stressed-out businessman, Short gets an opportunity to do slapstick and kids will doubtlessly approve.
1997-U.S. 105 min. Color. Directed by John Pasquin. Cast: Tim Allen (Michael Cromwell), Martin Short (Richard Kempster), JoBeth Williams (Patricia Cromwell), Sam Huntington (Mimi-Siku), Lolita Davidovich, David Ogden Stiers.
