Home Alone 3
It’s bad news for bad guys… again.
Did you actually think that little Kevin (Macaulay Culkin) was done beating up defenseless burglars? Well, he is in fact, because there’s a new kid on the block. The third movie in the series introduced a new family and eight-year-old, but the tired concept remains the same. The thieves being more technically advanced in their search for a precious computer chip doesn’t seem to inspire anything original in the screenplay; the new kid, Alex Linz, is all right though as a Culkin clone.
1997-U.S. 100 min. Color. Produced by John Hughes, Hilton Green. Directed by Raja Gosnell. Cast: Alex D. Linz (Alex Pruitt), Olek Krupa (Petr Beaupre), Rya Kihlstedt (Alice Ribbons), Lenny von Dohlen, David Thornton, Haviland Morris.
Trivia: Followed by the TV movie Home Alone 4 (2002).
